now for something really different

Thought I'd show you all what I've been working on for the last couple of weeks. Mixed media paintings for the Seattle Art Museum gallery. Each piece is 18" x 24". I'll be taking these to get framed tomorrow, then they will be available to rent or purchase through SAM. I usually just show my illustration work here, but my blog buddy, Julissa, encouraged me to post these, so here they are. It was fun to get creative in a different way, the hands on - messy way.

I'm calling these The Woodland Park Series, after the park near my house. The photos aren't the best, it was a gray day today and even though I was outside on the porch, the flash came on. That's Seattle in the winter for you. Gray skies. Maybe that will be the title of my next series of paintings.

Hey Nina! We have a woodland park by us too! Your work is amazing! You really have a knack for color combos! This is stunning! I’m sure they will be the focus point on whatever wall they are hanging. Good luck, God bless and Happy Thanksgiving!
