I've been neglecting the 'ole blog, so I thought I'd put up this Oldie but Goodie for Illustration Friday this week. It's a mixed media piece, appropriately named Time for Dessert. I always liked this piece, maybe I'll rework it in vector someday. Hope you are all having a great week so far. The kids are back in school, starting Wed. Whooo-hoo! I somehow got talked into being the Arts Coordinator at my daughter's High School...not sure what I got myself into and why I said yes, but TAG, I'm it!

Great composition on this piece, Nina! I think it's a sweet one and it would be cool to see what you do with it in vector! And, super cool for your daughter's high school..I know you'll put a lot of your hard work into it and they are sure to get a ton out of it!
By the way, awesome sticker/labels - keep 'em coming! Your entire animal alphabet is sure to adorn kids' rooms in the future..I just know it.

Nina, Nice! Your cake looks so real right down to the powdered sugar- delicious! My kids are all back to school too...even my baby is in nursery school...ahh the silence in the house is heavenly(but strange??)
Your daughter's school is very lucky to have such a talented illustrator in their midst. :)
