an interview

A Muse is celebrating their 9th anniversary and they did a little 'ole interview with me, since I've been designing for them since the beginning. There's even (ugh!) pictures of me! The 1st 2 pics are OK, but that last one....oh well, we can't all be super models, I guess. Anyways, if you want to read the interview, it's right here, on the A Muse News blog.

IF - ahead

"Derek ran ahead, kicking a can, while Nikki dawdled behind doing cartwheels."

I know, I was supposed to be taking a break from Illustration Friday and doing my fine artwork, and I am working on it, but I had to do this one, it was soooo what my kids were like when they were little. Derek was the hare and Nikki was the tortoise and I was in the middle. "Derek slow down! Nikki, hurry up, Derek's getting too far ahead!" A simple walk could be so stressful, it was crazy! It's funny, though, now that they older, I miss our tortoise and the hare walks.

I've posted this one before, but it was perfect for Illustration Friday this week, so here it is again. It's in my old Photoshop style. This is one I'm thinking I'll redo in my new style, but right now I'm putting on my fine artist hat for a week or so and getting some things together for the gallery. Have a great week everyone!

I know, I know, Easter is over! I tried to get this done yesterday, but it just didn't happen. Life just gets in the way sometimes! I've sure been having fun creating bunnies and other Eastery goodness, but I guess it's time to move on now. Just had to get this last one in for Illustration Friday. This carrot car image is based on a stamp design I did for A Muse, last year.

As promised, more bunny love. Another Easter card and a gardening bunnies pattern. I hope you are all enjoying your Easter Sunday - too much chocolate around here, it's really hard not to raid the kids baskets...I am a chocoholic, after all.

I made this card today, just for fun. Easter is such a fun holiday to design for - bright colors, cute bunnies and spring flowers. I decided to make it a square card. I love square cards, don't you? I guess there's not too many out there in cardland, because it costs more postage to send them, than a rectangle. Crazy, huh?

More bunny love to come...once I started with one easter creation, I can't seem to stop!
